We are the only company in Africa in the Southern Hemisphere producing organic certified dried mangoes. This enables us to deliver in the exact opposite period of the year relative to all other producers in Africa.
We go where nobody goes
Inhambane is full of fruit and coconut trees, owned by local Mozambicans. But at the same time it is one of the poorest regions of the world. There is no market, fruits are not used and many people do not have an income.
We push the frontiers by entering the remote areas of Inhambane by tractors and 4x4 trucks. Our picking team selects the correct fruit varieties, offers a good price to the owner and professionally harvests the fruits.
Thousands of Mozambican growers benefit from the direct trade relation, thereby making a difference over 10,000 lives.
The Team
Jaco le Roux (left) manages the daily operations. He has 20 years of experience in subtropical fruits and nuts processing in both South Africa and the US. Before starting AfriFruta he was manager at Westfalia and boardmember at SAMAC (South African Macadamia Association).
Ties Minnen is managing partner next to Jaco since 2017 and is based in the Netherlands. Ties comes from an international business development and finance background, having worked in over 30 countries in Africa and the Middle East before settling with AfriFruta.
